REVOLUTION SHOE POCKET

• The Revolution fin shoe pocket is conceived and designed like a real shoe, and is surely the most comfortable shoe pocket available on the market today.
• It is available in seven sizes: from 40 to 46.
• The vamp of the shoe pocket is premoulded and built in nylon with a polyurethane covering.
• Both materials are water-proof and highly resistant in water.
• The padding and internal sole are also water-repellent, so they do not absorb water or allow for water stagnation.
• The three Velcro straps give the shoe a perfect grip, while also changing the thickness of the shoes.
• The sole is made in Grivory thermoplastic by EMS with non-slip heels made inpolyurethane.
• The stiffness of these materials allows the diver to unload leg movement on the fins without wasting energy, giving you the highest level of performance.
• The sole also has drain channels on the inside, which allow for emptying of water after fishing, in order to avoid water stagnation or build-up of mold in the shoe.
• The vamp is connected to the sole through structural bonding. Moreover, in the front part of the shoe, where there is the most stress while swimming, the top part is connected to the sole by two rust-proof rivets.

REVOLUTION BLADE

• Removable and replaceable fin with high modulus polypropylene.
• The 26º angle of the fin, with respect to the axis of the sole, creates a push that is equal during down-kick and up-kick, limiting the area of standstill where there is no thrust.
• Five stabilizers have been inserted in the fin.
• The four lateral stabilizers, two on the upper part and two on the bottom, impede fin leeway during swimming.
• The central-upper stabilizer, moreover, while standing still during fishing, keeps the fin slightly off the sea floor and thus limits any lifting of sediments.
• The fin is connected to the shoe pocket through the use of three stainless steel M5 metric screws.
• It is available in two versions: in standard black or with the green camouflage finish.

Developed specially for freediving (no spearfishing or fin-swimming). They are made with MEGAFORCE T700 carbon fiber, a new carbon fiber, 40% stronger than the old one. I'm a member of the FFESSM (the French underwater federation) and freediving instructor for 2 years. I'm from Brittany but I dive in the south west of France for 3 years.
I also take part in freediving competitions.

INTRODUCTION: Breath-hold diving has been practised since the dawn of humanity but is open to many risks. The consequences mainly involve the respiratory system. The pathophysiological mechanisms are complex because of the multiple forces applied to the body during breath-hold diving. OBSERVATION: The case reported here describes the development of haemoptysis during a single breath-hold dive to a depth of 26 m, associated with acute alveolar haemorrhage. Recovery was spontaneous. CONCLUSION: This event is rarely described and, although often associated with the more frequently reported pulmonary oedema of immersion, the mechanisms remain uncertain, but definitely multifactorial (barotrauma, thoracic blood transfer) and probably enhanced by deconditioning. All this emphasizes the extraordinary stresses that the alveolo-capillary membrane is subject to under these circumstances.

The diving response includes cardiovascular adjustments known to decrease oxygen uptake and thus prolong apnea duration. As this diving response is in part characterized by a pronounced decrease in heart rate (HR), it is thought to be vagally mediated. Methods: In five professional breath-hold divers (BHDs) and five less-trained controls (CTL), we investigated whether the diving response is in fact associated with an increase in the root mean square successive difference of the R-R intervals (RMSSD), a time-domain heart rate variability (HRV) index. HR behavior and arterial oxygen saturation (Sao2) were continuously recorded during one maximal apnea. Short-term changes in Sao2, HR, and RMSSD were calculated over the complete apnea duration. Results: BHDs presented bi-phasic HR kinetics, with two HR decreases (32 ± 17% and 20 ± 10% of initial HR). The second HR decrease, which was concomitant to the pronounced Sao2 decrease, was also simultaneous to a marked increase in RMSSD. CTL showed only one HR decrease (50 ± 10% of initial HR), which appeared before the concomitant Sao2 and RMSSD changes. When all subject data were combined, arterial desaturation was positively correlated with total apnea time (r = 0.87, P < 0.01). Conclusion: This study indicates that baroreflex stimulation and hypoxia may be involved in the bi-phasic HR response of BHDs and thus in their longer apnea duration.
