1 Star Course

The purpose of the AIDA * Freediver course is to familiarise freedivers with the skills, knowledge, basic safety procedures, techniques and enjoyment of breath hold freediving. Students will be introduced to the main competitive categories of freediving including Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea and Constant Weight freediving.

2 Star Course

This course is designed to be an introduction to freediving for students who are already confident and happy in the water. It aims to help the student freediver develop the skills and knowledge necessary to enjoy freediving safely.

3 Star Course

This course is designed to continue a freediver’s training beyond the level of AIDA ** Freediver. The aim of this course is to help the student freediver develop the skills and knowledge necessary to plan and participate in freediving activities, independently with similarly experienced freedive buddies.

The content of the Natiaonal Dive League course:

• freediving physiology ( mamillary reflex), adaptive procedures;
• psychological preparation for freediving ;
• correct ventilation;
• training exercises (apnea in statics and dynamics; technique of hovering; skills of effective descending and safe ascending);
• providing buoyancy;
• rules of descending;
• specific character of freediving equipment.

The International Association of Nitrox & Technical Divers (IANTD), a training agency now devoted to free (breath-hold) diving, is the first agency to bring standards, consistency, recognition and safety, through education, to the sport of free diving. Divetech, authors of the student and training materials, has licensed the free diving curriculum to IANTD. Our goals are to promote the sport of free diving by bringing new awareness to it through the continuing education programs that have been created.

The AIDA international instructor Rik Rösken promotes since 2003 freediving by giving courses and lectures. With his knowledge as a medical professional and experience as a freediver, he is able to intest the public at large.

Vertical Blue offers several different courses to cater for the specific needs of the student. Schedules and programs vary, so please specify preferred course and dates when contacting us.

Accommodation can be arranged close to the Blue Hole, and there are plenty of activities for time outside the course: caving, trekking, or just relaxing on the beautiful, secluded beaches. Spearfishing is possible in the Bahamas, although not inside the Blue Hole, and only with Hawaiian slings or pole spears.

Ab 22. März 2002 führte die AIDA International - der Dachverband des Apnoesports - ein internationales Brevetierungssystem ein. Hierdurch erfolgt eine stufenweise ineinander greifende Ausbildung mit festgelegten Leistungsebenen.

Allgemeines:

Das Freitauchen mit Schnorchel, Brille und Schwimmflossen hat einen festen Platz im Unterwassersport. Natürlich gibt es dabei Risiken, Gefahren und Tücken, die Sie hier kennen lernen, und mit dem entsprechenden Wissen zu beherrschen lernen. Ziel der Seminare ist es, den Teilnehmern praktisches und theoretisches Wissen so zu vermitteln, dass Schnorcheltauchgänge in ruhiger und entspannter Weise durchgeführt werden können. Das Wissen über die richtige Atmung, Veränderung im Körper während des Tauchens, Wahl und Zusammenstellung der richtigen Ausrüstung, aber auch über mögliche Gefahrenquellen, führen zum sicheren und erlebnisorientierten Apnoetauchen.

Schnorcheltauchen sollte immer mit einem Tauchpartner ausgeübt werden.

Die Beginnerseminare lassen Schwimmbegeisterte und Nicht - Taucher - egal, ob absolute Anfänger, oder mit dem Freitauchen bereits vertraut - sowie Gerätetaucher ohne Übung im Schnorcheltauchen, vom jeweiligen Seminar profitieren.

Wichtiger Hinweis: Spezielle Apnoeausrüstung sollte erst nach Besuch des Einsteiger/Basiskurses angeschafft werden, da die richtige Ausrüstung ein eigener Kursabschnitt ist. Jede weitere Stufe der Ausbildung vermittelt dem bereits geübten Apnoetaucher ein noch tieferes und intensiveres Wissen in Theorie und Praxis und verhilft so zu größeren Leistungen und Können und einem Plus an Sicherhei
